Cumisharp

Cumi Sharp CUMI specialize in manufacturing of a complete line of closed sized abrasive grains in various shapes, sizes and densities, etc. to perfectly fit any grinding application and working condition. CUMI Sharp grains are blocky sharp edges with low iron and silica content. Its high toughness & hardness (Mohs Hardness 9), excellent abrasion resistance, high corrosion resistance properties combined with cooler cutting characteristics, appropriate friability, multi-fracturing properties exposing sharp edges and self sharpening characteristics makes it an ideal raw material for the manufacturing of bonded abrasive for all applications.

Steel Shot Steel Shot is manufactured by melting selected scrap in electric induction furnace. The chemical composition of molten metal is analyzed and strictly controlled by spectrometer to obtain SAE Standard specification. The molten metal is atomized and transformed into round particle and subsequently quenched and tempered in a heat treating process to obtain a product of uniform hardness and microstructure, screened by size according to SAE Standard specification. Chemical Composition The finished shot shall have the chemical compositions as follows: Carbon 0.85-1.20% Silicon 0.45-1.50% Manganese 0.35-1.20% Phosphorus <0.05% Sulfur <0.05% Standard Hardness The hardness of 90% of all shot paticles shall be within the range of 40-50 HRc. (Rockwell C) General Appearance The steel shot shall be as nearly spherical as commercially possible and no more 20% of the shot particles shall have objectionable defects.

Steel Grit Steel Grit is made by crushing steel shot to angular particle subsequently tempered to different hardness to cater for different application, screened by size according to SAE Standard specification. Chemical Composition The finished grit shall have the chemical compositions as follows: Carbon 0.85-1.20% Silicon 0.45-1.50% Manganese 0.35-1.20% Phosphorus <0.05% Sulfur <0.05% Standard Hardness The steel grit is manufactured by crushing the fully hardened shot to granular grit form, screening and tempered to three different hardness range as follows : GH = 63-67 HRc. GL = 56-60 HRc. GP = 40-50 HRc. It is also available in tempering to various hardness range for special application
